Pinal's Curry Night
Along with her colleagues from Dunbartonshire Council, Pinar Patel raised £3000 for the Pebble Appeal. Pinal was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and had been undergoing treatment at the Beatson. They organised a coffee evening and invited friends, family and colleagues.
Golf Match
The Clober Golf Club in Milngavie held a charity golf match on 16th May in aid of local charity Cure Cancer Scotland. Cure Cancer Scotland are raising money for the Beatson Pebble Appeal and hope to reach £10,000 very soon!
On the day, the Cure Cancer Shield was won by David Steele, a member of Clober Golf Club along with a first prize of a four ball at the famous Carrick Golf Club on Loch Lomondside. The match was followed by an evening disco, short auction and raffle and a total of £2250.50 was raised. Kay McFarlane, chairperson of Cure Cancer Scotland, thanked the club, players and everyone involved in supporting the event and making it such a success.
