Oban lady Cate McCormack decided to support the Beatson Pebble Appeal through a sponsored slim. She set herself a target of losing 6 stones in weight between September 2008 and September 2009. As you can see from the pictures, she achieved her goal. Cate said:“I’m delighted that I’ve reached my target, six stones in a year, and raised £800 for the Beatson Pebble Appeal. It’s the first time I’ve ever done anything like this and I have to admit I found it quite daunting asking people for money, then I reminded myself that pride has no place where cancer is concerned. I’m now getting my head round other ways of raising money for the appeal”.
