Munro Climb
Connal Cochrane is one of our first £1000 challengers. He is climbing 100 Munros in memory of his mum. Phyllis Cochrane died just over 3 years ago at the age of 59 following a prolonged battle against cancer. Connal has decided to tackle the Munros to raise £1000 for the Beatson Pebble Appeal. Connal said "I had been looking to do something personally to move forward in a positive way and my mum loved hillwalking. In fact it was me who got her enthusiastic about hill walking when I was in my teens. I am looking forward to continuing with my challenge and I am pleased to be able to contribute to this really worthwhile campaign". It was the first time such a journey has been made from Scotland in a single-engine aircraft of this class (FAI weight class 1000-1750 Kg) and Jim finished on 4th August, after flying for 4 months. Jim had a great deal of fun completing his challenge and you can find out more about his adventure at http://www.jimsbigadventure.co.uk/
